The NZMS™ Founding Motel Programme invites selected New Zealand motel owners and operators to enter the inaugural certification cohort. Participants proceed through a structured pathway of review, evidence and individual decision-making against the established Seven Standards.

For serious motel operators

This is for motel owners and operators who care deeply about guest experience, professionalism, standards, and trust.

A pathway to recognition

Participation may lead to NZMS™ review and, where approved, certification and public recognition in the Certified Motels Directory.

Not automatic certification

Submitting an application does not guarantee certification. Certification requires review and approval.

All information, documents, and photos you submit are reviewed confidentially by authorised NZMS™ administrators only. Your material will not be published publicly without your approval. Upon submission, you will receive a secure access token to manage your application through the Applicant Portal.

NZMS™ is an independent standards and certification initiative. It is not government accreditation, regulatory approval, or a legal compliance certificate.
