Certification Disclaimer
NZMS™ is an independent standards and certification initiative.
NZMS™ is not a government agency, statutory authority, regulator, or government accreditation body.
NZMS™ certification is not a legal compliance certificate, regulatory approval, or government endorsement.
NZMS™ certification does not replace a motel operator's obligations under New Zealand law, including health and safety requirements, building requirements, employment law, consumer law, local council requirements, insurance obligations, fire safety requirements, or any other regulatory obligations.
NZMS™ certification is based on the NZMS™ standards framework, submitted information, assessment material, evidence, review processes, and where applicable, site or guest-experience assessment.
Final certification is always subject to NZMS™ admin review and approval. Certification reflects standards at the time of review and does not guarantee ongoing compliance.
Self-assessment is a preparation tool only and does not automatically certify a motel. A high self-assessment score does not guarantee certification.
Only motels approved by NZMS™ admin may appear in the Certified Motels Directory.
Only certified and published motels may display the NZMS™ badge or certificate publicly. Unauthorised use of the NZMS™ name, badge, or certificate is not permitted.
NZMS™ provides no warranty beyond the scope of its independent standards framework. NZMS™ is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from reliance on NZMS™ certification by any party.
