New Zealand Founded · Global Motel Renaissance
NZMS™ is building a standards-led hospitality and property group designed to certify, transform, operate and globally redefine the motel industry—born in New Zealand and built for the world.
Independent motel certification is operating now. Property transformation, motel operations, brand licensing and capital partnerships are strategic programmes in development and remain subject to feasibility, governance and professional review.

Why NZMS™ Exists
New Zealand motels play an essential role in tourism, business travel, regional economies and community life. Yet parts of the sector face inconsistent room condition, service delivery, reinvestment and public confidence—while responsible operators can still be difficult to distinguish.
NZMS™ began with an independent pathway through which visible standards of cleanliness, presentation, guest care, safety awareness, service and operational consistency can be reviewed, strengthened and recognised. Its wider mandate is to help prove what a modern, professionally operated motel can become.
For guests, a stay they can trust. For owners, a stronger future. For the industry, a complete renaissance.
The NZMS Global Group
Certification remains the authority. Property transformation, operations, brand licensing and investor partnerships become the engines of scale, recurring income and long-term value.
This is NZMS™ strategic direction now in development. Property projects, operating services, licensed brands and capital arrangements will be launched only after feasibility, governance, legal and financial requirements are satisfied.
Independent motel standards, assessment, certification and credential control remain the source of authority and public trust.
Working platforms for transforming suitable existing motels and developing the disciplined modern motel of the future.
A repeatable operating system for guest experience, revenue management, housekeeping, service, direct booking and commercial performance.
A scalable model in which NZMS retains the standards, brand and operating intellectual property while appropriate partners provide property and growth capital.

The official seal may be used only by an approved property while certification remains current and in good standing.
Current certifications can be checked through the secure NZMS™ public verification pathway.
NZMS™ is operated by New Zealand Motel Standards Limited. It is not a government agency, statutory authority, regulator or government accreditation body. Certification does not replace legal, council, insurance, health and safety or regulatory obligations.
